And, well. He knows what he likes - as few things as that might consist of - and he knows what he doesn't like. Knows that the 'doesn't' category involves some of the... particular changes that had occurred to them, once all was said and done.
(once they'd chosen to be Barian, to stay as this rather than become human again)
(some of them, anyway, he adds internally, and if he had a lip to curl in this body he would)
Still. Alit gets unbearable when he's in rut, and Mizael's not much better once the smell of it sends him reeling into heat, and Vector doesn't particularly enjoy these changes but he's learned to deal with it even so. Because he has to, really, or else be on the receiving end of Alit's rut himself.
(the watching, at least, isn't so bad)
(and even his own heats are easy enough to ignore, as though his body has started to accept he has no interest in furthering the new Barian race - which, to be fair, is probably for the best anyway; even he can agree that it's better the bred Barians spawn from stock with ridiculous notions of honor and chivalry and all that crap than from someone like him)
(another Barian like him and Vector might have to kill them himself, half out of hatred and half out of simple possessiveness - the asshole thing is his schtick)
So.
He has Alit on a chain, one strong enough to give him only a short range around the crystal outcropping it's affixed to. A range that Vector's keeping himself out of, for so long as Alit's in rut (not that that stops him from crossing and uncrossing his legs where he sits on another crystal nearby, and if he can smell the reek of his own heat with each of the movements then he knows Alit must be able to as well).
He's not so cruel as to leave Alit entirely alone, though. And, besides. Even if he'd wanted to keep Mizael out of Alit's range, it would have taken entirely too much fiddling to try to chain them both without either getting free. Better to let Mizael pant after Alit anyway, so that both of them will be back to themselves quicker.
Vector, meanwhile, will just watch from his crystal - and cross and uncross his legs as the heat tingles in him and wets his inner thighs with the fluid dripping from between his legs - as Mizael slots himself against Alit and rubs their masks together in a desperate approximation of a human kiss. ]
